The first class of students to come to UC Merced founded this organization in 2005 and since then we have continued the tradition to present Folklórico dance and history to the communities of the central valley and uphold the good reputation of the UC Merced Bobcats.

 

Folklorico is a dance style that originated in Mexico. Just like any other country Mexico has different regions where people have different dance practices and styles. We have been well known for performing dances from the regions of Jalisco, Sinaloa, and Veracruz and as the years go by it is our hope to add more regions to our repetoire to share with our audience.
